This is a part-time post working 15 hours per week. We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and motivated Oral Health Improvement (OHI) Officer, working 2 days per week. This new position is funded through additional investment to cover Herefordshire. The role will be part of a team working alongside Worcestershire OHI and will be situated within the Consultant Led Worcestershire Community Dental Service.
The post holder will assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating oral health programmes aimed at raising awareness and improving oral health in Herefordshire, working alongside the existing Worcestershire Oral Health Improvement Team.

Main duties of the job
1. Identify and define target groups and establish their requirements for oral health promotion training.
2. Plan, develop, organize, and deliver Oral Health Education and Promotion Activities within Herefordshire, supporting wider service development across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
3. Review resource needs across the service to ensure effective delivery.
4. Collect appropriate and accurate information to support service contract requirements and developments.
5. Plan, develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate training programmes and projects for stakeholders such as dental teams, Public Health, Health Visitors, School Nurses, Dieticians, children centres, care homes, and care agencies.
6. Prepare and deliver presentations to county audiences using various equipment.
7. Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports on Oral Health Promotion activities and KPIs.
8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to deliver effective oral health promotion.
