Town Planner Job in Truro, Cornwall
New requirement for a Town Planner with an architectural and planning practice based in Truro. The role involves working on a range of project types in both commercial and residential sectors. Offering a salary of £30,000 - £42,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.
The team of 20+ includes planners, designers, architects, and landscape architects.
This multi-disciplinary practice has a planning-led approach to design and a diverse portfolio. The role involves working alongside a small team of planners, with opportunities for progression and development.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Preparation and submission of planning applications
2. Providing advice on planning matters
3. Land development assessments
4. Attending internal and external meetings throughout the planning process
5. Keeping updated on local and planning policy changes
6. Preparing monthly progress reports
7. Collaborating closely with land and technical teams
8. Supporting the Planning Director
Required Skills & Experience
* Experience working as a town planner; public or private sectors considered
* Ideally degree-qualified and working towards Chartership (MRTPI)
* Client-facing experience
* Major development experience required; renewable energy project experience is desirable
