This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified school nurse or health visitor who has the transfer fields of practice or is willing to undertake this course or experienced staff nurse.
The role is part of our Inclusion pathway within the Healthy Child Programme Service 0-19 which incorporates Health Visiting, School Nursing and Teenage Pregnancy Services. This exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated and compassionate qualified nurse to join our developing pathway which reflects the need to be increase capacity to provide care and support young people who are in the Youth Justice system, to improve their health outcomes and life chances.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Practitioner (School Nursing) - Youth Justice post sits within the Inclusion Pathway HCP 0-19 and is part of the School Nursing provision. The post holder will lead on the provision of the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) to children and young people who are supported within the Youth Justice Service. The post holder will work closely with external colleagues within the Youth Justice Team and internal colleagues delivering care as part of the HCP 0-19 Inclusion Pathway
The School Nursing, Health Visiting and Teenage Pregnancy form the Healthy Child Programme 0-19 which deliver public health services to babies, children and young people and their families. The overarching aim of public health services is to prevent, promote and protect the health and wellbeing of children and families. They work with stakeholders across a number of settings and organisations to lead delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to improve child health outcomes and ensure that families in need of help or at risk are identified at the earliest opportunity.
