We are seeking
a Senior Researcher to take the lead in the development of statistical and computational approaches towards a new project which seeks to better understand the causes and consequences of the correlation between multiple traits and to quantify trait variation that arises from new mutations. Working closely with the PI (Professor Peter Visscher), you will develop new research methodologies, conduct analyses on detailed and complex data, write articles for peer-reviewed journals and represent the research group at external seminars and conferences. To be considered, you must hold a PhD/DPhil in statistical genetics, quantitative genetics, bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, econometrics or another relevant field. You will have substantial relevant research experience in complex trait genetics, a proven ability to code and a strong publication record. This is a full time, fixed term post (part time considered) for 3 years.
