Volunteering with our school visits at the museum is a rewarding experience. The role offers variety, flexibility, and fun! We aim to inspire children and young people about our canals and rivers, using the waterways to build life skills, raise aspirations, and connect children with the outdoors.
A key focus is Water Safety education, which we share through workshop assemblies in Gloucestershire.
You will start by shadowing an experienced volunteer. Our activities are easy to learn, and you'll gain knowledge about our historic waterway, nature, and science along the way!
We seek individuals with experience working with children or a strong desire to gain such experience. A DBS check will be arranged for volunteering.
We provide full training, ongoing support, reimburse travel expenses, and host social events to celebrate volunteer achievements!
Ask me a question about the role before signing up!
