Your new role
As QSHE Advisor, you’ll support the safe delivery of facilities maintenance and repair services across a diverse housing estate. Your focus will be on CDMpliance, health and safety management, and quality assurance within a facilities management environment. You’ll work closely with engineers, contractors, and maintenance teams to ensure safe working practices and statutorypliance across multiple trades.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Advising operational teams on QSHE matters
2. Monitoring compliance across electrical, plumbing, heating, joinery, and general building repairs
3. Conducting site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
4. Supporting incident reporting and investigations
5. Acting as CDM 2015 advisor for planned works and maintenance projects
6. Overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities and promoting safe systems of work
7. Supporting ISO management systems and sustainability initiatives
You’ll report to the Head of Health and Safety and collaborate with team leaders, engineers, contractors, and housing staff.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
8. Experience in a facilities management or housing maintenance environment
9. Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
10. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
11. Experience managing health and safety across multiple engineering disciplines
12. Confidence in engaging engineers, contractors, and residents
13. Solid understanding ofpliance areas including gas, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos, and fire safety
Desirable qualifications include professional membership of IOSH, experience in social housing, knowledge of ISO standards, and environmental awareness.
