Health and Safety Manager Required * £70,000 - £100,000 * Start ASAP * Projects Across London My client are a successful groundwork & structural concrete contractor based in London. They are looking for full time SHEQ Manager reporting to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will be articulate, self-motivated and able to work under pressure with a minimum of supervision. The candidate needs to have NEBOSH Construction/ NCRQ and have minimum TechIOSH membership with a relevant valid CSCS card. A minimum of 3 years’ experience. SHEQ Manager duties Include * Promote and ensure continued site wide commitment to achieving consistently high standard in health and safety on the project. * Advise site management & Site staff on health and safety matters. * Maintain the ISO standards and other company accreditation like CHAS, ASUC and CCS etc. * Maintain and ensure Considerate Constructors scheme compliance. * Assist in drafting PQQ for new projects. * Ordering appropriate PPE for site staff. * Conduct site health and safety and quality compliance inspections and audits. * Undertake appropriate site visits as required. * Produce, monitor and review of method statement, risk assessment and work package plans. * All COSHH regulation and industry best practice compliance to be ensured. * Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root cause. * Be instrumental in encouraging near miss and safety observation reporting. * Review company and sub-contractors compliance paperwork. * Assist with and / or deliver relevant training programmes inclusion of induction programmes, toolbox talks and briefings. * Assist in the preparation of Health and safety packs. * Assist in the preparation of health and safety Construction Phase Plan. * Projects with BREEAM conditions to be met, to work with waste contractor and other stakeholders to ensure compliance. * Quality process in all projects to be complaint and follow company QA process in order to ensure compliance. * Regularly review and update the project fire plan and traffic management plan. * Promote behavioural safety initiatives with operatives and staff. * Attend client health and safety meeting/forums as required. * Attend weekly internal health and safety meeting with contracts manager & managing director.
