The post holder will work as a member of the Pregnancy Advisory Team to deliver an expert nurse‑led pregnancy advisory service to patients from initial consultation to discharge.
Responsibilities
* Undertake specialist procedures and provide specialist advice and ongoing support to the patient group.
* Provide termination of pregnancy and sexual health advice, pre‑treatment assessment and post‑treatment support to the patient group.
* Establish clear lines of communication with hospital and primary healthcare teams to increase knowledge and facilitate a unified approach to patient care.
* Contribute to the development of evidence‑based clinical nursing practice in line with current research and guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
* Band 6 Registered Nurse.
* Previous gynaecology experience is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate a keen interest in women’s health.
* Positive, caring attitude and excellent communication skills.

About the Role
The position is based within the Gynaecology Outpatients Department on the Women’s and Children’s Hospital at HRI Hull. The pregnancy advisory service works within the outpatient clinical area, which sees a high turnover of patients.
