🚧 Quantity Surveyor Opportunity – Civil Engineering | North East & Yorkshire
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your civil engineering career? I’m recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure works across the North East and Yorkshire. This is a long-term, progressive role for a commercially sharp QS who enjoys owning projects from tender through to completion, managing costs, and protecting value throughout the delivery cycle.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Full commercial and contractual management across multiple civil engineering projects
• Cost forecasting, valuations, change management, CVRs & final accounts
• Subcontract procurement, payments & performance management
• Working with NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contracts, ensuring compliance and governance
• Driving commercial best practice and continuous improvement
• Supporting tenders and value engineering during pre-construction
🎯 Requirements
• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering/infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of NEC (Options A, B, C & E) and JCT
• Excellent commercial acumen and attention to detail
• Strong communicator with client-facing confidence
• HNC/Degree in QS or related discipline
• Able to work independently as well as part of a project team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CEMAR/FastDraft ideal
