We are currently looking for a Chemical Laboratory Assistant to support our world-leading clients.
Responsibilities
* Act as the chemist in the laboratory and drive the acceptance process of materials.
* Complete analysis of concentrations of chemical baths using titration.
* Safe working with acids and other chemicals.
* GC-MS Analysis
* FTIR Analysis
* DSC, DMA analysis
* Taking swabs for cleanliness
* Taking biological assays
* Chemistry method development
* Acid digestion of composites
* Produce in-house etchants
* Assist in the batch acceptance work stream.
* Assist with R&D testing and method development
* Contribute to processes and risk assessments being up to date.
* Working in a safe and tidy manner.
* Attending a 15 minute meeting on Wednesday (SQCDP) to flag any safety, quality or delivery issues that could prevent work being delivered.
Qualifications
The candidate will be at Degree level in Chemistry.

* Solids content and density on various liquid samples testing
* Conductivity of DI water testing
* Epoxy/amine titrations testing
* Analysis of acid baths
* Analysis of adhesives
* Viscosity analysis
* Assessing non-volatile residues
* Using a rotary evaporator
* Assisting in treatments bath monitoring process
