Department of Oncology, Old Road, Campus Research Building, Roosevelt Drive, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7DQ About the role The post would suit someone with a high level of organisational skills and keen to take on the responsibility of looking after the laboratory as whole alongside their own benchwork and acting as a conduit for collaborating groups. With a strong focus on human tissue use we are looking for this post holder to become one of the deputy human tissue point of contact for the department. This will be an advisory role guiding other members of department with all matters relating to human tissue work. Full training for this advisory role will be provided. About you You will hold a PhD/Dphil (or near to completion) in field relating to cancer biology, immunology or cell biology. You will possess exceptional organisational skills that might include, sample management, electronic lab books, working with collaborators. Ability to work supportively in a laboratory environment, and to supervise and educate junior co-workers. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proven ability to write in English at a suitable standard You will experience of flow cytometry and experience with tissue culture. Experience with one of the more advanced tissue culture techniques (either organoids, spheroids or primary tissue culture) is desirable but not essential. Application Process
