Overview
HLTA – SEND Hub – Secondary School – Walsall. A forward-thinking secondary school in Walsall is seeking a confident and compassionate HLTA to join their dedicated SEND hub. This role involves working closely with students who require additional support, delivering tailored interventions, and providing guidance to Teaching Assistants across the department.
As an HLTA in the SEND hub, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH. You will assist with lesson planning and delivery, lead small group sessions, and work with teachers and the SENCO to ensure consistent and effective support is provided. This is an exciting opportunity for an HLTA who is ready to step up, make a meaningful impact, and work within a nurturing and well-resourced environment.
Responsibilities
* Supporting students with SEND within a dedicated hub as an HLTA
* Delivering targeted interventions and small group support
* Assisting with planning and adapting resources for learning
* Providing guidance and mentoring to Teaching Assistants
* Working closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies
