Overview

Huge Small Victories. Being a maintenance worker in our school means being part of something big. You’ll be doing your bit to make sure the school building is a great place to be for our young people. You’ll undertake general day-to-day repairs to keep the school up and running, drive the school vehicles and keep them in good working order, and help maintain the school grounds and garden. You’ll also be a familiar, friendly face, and we will provide safeguarding training to support your confidence in interacting with pupils.

Based in Surrey and rated Good by Ofsted, the school meets the needs of pupils with autism and additional needs such as PDA, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory issues and related behavioural challenges.


Responsibilities

* Carry out general, day-to-day repairs to keep the school running smoothly
* Drive and maintain school vehicles to a high standard
* Keep school grounds and gardens neat and tidy
* Engage with pupils as a friendly presence; undertake appropriate safeguarding training

What we look for

* Some maintenance skills, either professional or DIY
* A can-do attitude and a team-first approach
* Confidence in taking responsibility for buying smaller maintenance equipment
* willingness to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training
