Join the Science department at Leigh Stationers’ Academy and you will be part of a vibrant, experienced, and supportive team. Joining us from September 2025, the ideal candidate will have the ability to teach across KS3 to KS5. A genuine interest in developing teaching and learning is also important. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join an academy committed to high-quality professional development and supporting a science team on its journey to ‘Outstanding’. Science at Leigh Stationers’ Academy:
The Science curriculum aims to ensure all pupils develop a strong knowledge and understanding of Science's role and importance in the modern world, while fostering scientific thinking, contextual application, and sophisticated communication skills. Our curriculum is designed to inspire pupils to pursue Science beyond school and into STEM careers.
Our curriculum emphasizes consistent big ideas throughout students' time at the academy, increasing in complexity and reinforcing previous learning. Science is viewed as a connected web of knowledge, with related topics linked through shared foundations and concepts, enabling a holistic understanding of the subject.
This role offers MPS/UPS + Inner London Allowance, commensurate with experience.
