Hays is recruiting for a premier, specialist interior fit outpany working across the Retail,mercial and Hospitality sectors. Your newpany will support your management career as you travel to cities throughout Great Britain and Ireland, including work in Northern Ireland.
Working alongside a team of professional tradespeople, you can expect to fit out some of the most recognisable fashion brands, hottest restaurants, and most modern office spaces in some of Britain and Ireland's biggest cities. Your newpany is expecting to start new projects within Northern Ireland and are looking for a Site Manager who will be able to use their industry knowledge in Northern Ireland to assist in the opening of the kinds of modern restaurants, retail spaces andmercial spaces we havee to expect in Northern Ireland's cities.
Your new role
You will be working alongside a team of construction professionals to deliver turnkey fit out projects from inception to delivery in cities throughout the UK and Ireland. Working as part of a management team, you’ll be expected to oversee the progress of the project from inception topletion, while working with specialist members of your team to ensure the project will bepleted on time, on budget and on specification.
As Site Manager, some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Overseeing the day-to-day direction of the entire project or a specific stage within it to ensure it meets expectations and deadlines throughout the UK and Ireland
2. Ensuring Health & Safety is always maintained, as well as adjusting timelines based on the project’s progress, and regularlymunicating project goals to on-site employees.
3. Regularly reviewing project progress to assess how closely it’s proceeding to the projected timeline.
4. Managing onsite labour and specialist trades to ensure quality is achieved throughout the course of the build.
5. Liaising with all internal and external stakeholders including subcontractors and clients while ensuring the quality delivery of the project.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience overseeing construction projects in a Site Management capacity, specifically finishing projects to a high-quality standard.
You will have previous experience of carrying out works at a management level, as well as possessing relevant tickets ( SMSTS / SSSTS / CSCS / NVQ). You will be a self-starter with excellent leadership skills and technical ability, possessing a keen eye for detail whilst upholding high standards throughout the programme of works. This client will be open to candidatesing from traditional trades backgrounds, with preference for those with Joinery experience. You will also need to be willing to travel throughout the UK & Ireland for short durations as the project dictates.
