Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time qualified Occupational Therapist to develop their clinical skills under the Occupational Therapy Career Framework, working in Adult Mental Health at Bryngofal ward, Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a specific interest in Adult Mental Health and a passion for working with people with mental health issues. This role offers a chance to develop the Occupational Therapy service in an inpatient setting and contribute to service improvements. The main goals include proactive care, providing an inclusive, multidisciplinary pathway to help individuals improve function and return home.
Main Duties
* Manage an autonomous caseload for clients with mental health issues, including complex cases.
* Select and perform evidence-based assessments, develop holistic, person-centered goals and care plans.
* Deliver interventions, evaluate outcomes, and adapt care plans accordingly.
* Collaborate with Community Mental Health Teams and other services to support patient discharge.
* Build positive relationships with healthcare professionals, statutory, and voluntary agencies.
* Supervise OT Technicians and act as a clinical supervisor for undergraduate students.
Knowledge of Welsh is desirable; applications in Welsh are welcomed and will not be treated less favorably.
