You have experience working with children and young people, understanding their social and emotional difficulties, and possess the ability to build positive relationships. What the job involves Your role as a Family Support Worker involves supporting children, young people, and their families as part of a Child In Need Plan. You'll work with families at risk of breakdown, providing parenting support and ensuring children's safety. You'll carry out assessments, plan and review support needs, and work closely with social workers and partner agencies to create a cohesive support system. Flexibility with working hours and a commitment to safeguarding practices are key aspects of the role. Skills Experience in family and children support services Knowledge of Child Development and relevant legislation High level assessment and mediation skills Strong observational and report writing skills Ability to work flexibly and independently Proficient in IT and case management systems Valid driving license with access to a car (with adjustments considered for disabilities)
