An exciting opportunity is available for a caring and empathetic Registered Nurse to join on a secondment at Waiapu House Lifecare & Village. This temporary fixed term role offers a unique chance to broaden your experience and develop your clinical and leadership skills as a Unit Coordinator.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of care on the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to residents. You will support and guide the care team, promote best practices in clinical care, and act as a key point of contact for residents, families, and multidisciplinary professionals.
This secondment is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about elderly care, values dignity and respect, and is looking to develop their skills in leadership, coordination, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Waiapu House Lifecare is a 74-bed care home with a 31-unit village. We are located in the sunny Hawke’s Bay Village of Havelock North, recently awarded the title of ‘Best New Zealand Suburb’. The region has stunning scenery, beaches, walkways, wineries and a warm climate. Have a great pace of life, with a short commute, affordable housing in welcoming communities, and many great amenities - including schools and recreational facilities.
* Fulltime hours
* 12- month fixed term secondment
* AM, PM, Weekend and Night shifts
You will bring
* Previous clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
* Current Annual Practicing Certificate with the New Zealand Nursing Council
* Ability to lead a team of clinical and non-clinical staff to service excellence
* Sound ability to delegate, provide direction, and support others
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to effectively prioritise and successfully manage a changing workload
