Level 3 Forest School Leader
Are you passionate about outdoor learning and inspiring young children through nature? The Early Years Academy is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Forest School Leader to join our team and lead exciting forest school sessions for children aged 2-5 years.
About the Role:
As our Forest School Leader, you will be responsible for delivering fun and educational outdoor sessions both on-site and off-site. You'll nurture children's curiosity, resilience, and confidence through nature-based experiences. This is a part-time role hours per week), providing the flexibility to balance your passion for outdoor learning with other commitments. We have a role at our Loughborough site and our Ibstock site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and lead engaging Forest School sessions for children aged 2-5
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating outdoor environment
* Encourage children to explore, take risks, and develop problem-solving skills in nature
* Collaborate with the nursery team to integrate forest school activities into the wider curriculum
* Work closely with parents and carers, fostering a love for nature within the whole family
Requirements:
* Level 3 Forest School qualification
* Proven experience in leading forest school sessions in a nursery or early years setting
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong understanding of risk management in outdoor environments
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young children
* Passion for sustainability and environmental awareness
