Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist
As a Consultant, you’ll lead a team and strive for excellence. Join Gateway Recovery Centre to make a significant impact on men and women with enduring mental health issues.
Gateway Recovery Centre features 72 beds across 6 wards, including rehabilitation, acute psychiatric, and specialist units for different needs, such as high support women, ASD, low secure, and older men with complex health needs.
Your responsibilities will include managing complex cases, formulating care plans, guiding evidence-based treatments, and leading clinical teams. You will deliver care to a dedicated caseload, supported by a practice nurse, enhanced GP services, a supervisor, and a medical secretary team. Coverage from specialty doctors is available for the acute ward.

Key Responsibilities:
* Providing RC and consultant psychiatrist input to inpatients in rehabilitation or acute wards.
* Option for full-time or part-time work.
* Managing a caseload of 16-18 inpatients, depending on service acuity.
* Participating in a low-frequency on-call rota.
* Assessing new referrals to meet service needs.
* Leading the clinical team and contributing to governance and service development.
* Maintaining relationships with external agencies.
* Contributing to training and education.
Candidate Requirements:
* MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
* CCT in relevant psychiatry fields or AC status for experienced candidates.
* Full GMC registration and recent appraisal.
* Section 12 (2) approval and AC status.
* Experience in MDT care for complex needs.
* Innovative, motivated, and team-oriented mindset.
