Maintenance & Minor Works Manager

Harrods, one of the world’s premier luxury department stores, is seeking a Maintenance & Minor Works Manager to oversee maintenance, repair and enhancement across the estate. The role reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and leads a team of 13 Building Fabric Maintenance Engineers in a 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities
* Drive minor works projects and manage contractors.
* Oversee site inspections, defect management, health & safety and regulatory compliance.
* Manage budget oversight, RAMS and contractor performance.
* Lead, develop and coach the maintenance team.
* Contribute to asset management planning and capital investment decisions.
* Ensure structural elements are safe, compliant and maintained to the highest standards.
Qualifications
* HNC/HND or degree in Building, Construction Management, or Building Surveying.
* Proven experience in building fabric maintenance management.
* Experience in luxury retail or hospitality.
* IOSH or NEBOSH certification desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement focus.
