Clerical / Administrative Assistant - Wyke Regis Junior School

We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and flexible person to join our hard‑working office team in January 2026 (or as soon as possible). The hours of work will be 08:30–12:30 Monday to Wednesday and 08:30–15:30 Thursday and Friday.
Compensation & Work Hours
* Salary: £14,475 – £14,702 per annum (Grade 3, SCP 3‑4), pro‑rated for 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
* Term‑time only schedule. Salary paid in equal monthly instalments and adjusted at the start of employment and if leaving part‑way through the school year.
Responsibilities
* First point of contact for parents, visitors and children, providing an efficient and confidential service.
* Maintain and monitor effective administrative systems for parents, visitors and school staff.
* Provide general clerical support and excellent interpersonal and ICT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Assist in prioritising workloads and staying focused in a busy office environment.
* Support professional development and further training opportunities.
Qualifications
* Previous school experience desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
* Capability, organisation, friendliness, flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
