Position: Project Manager
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Role: Full Time
Mitie are recruiting for an established and experienced Project professional to join their team in Newcastle to support and lead projects at the Newcastle Hospitals: Newcastle freeman and Newcastle RVI
The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of the delivery of projects for the account – typically between £5m to £10m; including mechanical and electrical upgrades, refurbishments and new builds.
Role duties:
1. Demonstrated skill in managing budgets and account plans.
2. Drive progress and manage the delivery of the projects.
3. Meet with clients to understand project scope and timescales.
4. Work in partnership with our Mitie FM and Projects Team and the Hospital's Project Team and the NHS Trust,
5. Create, monitor and deliver projects which will include (but not limited to) refurbishment works and mechanical / electrical facility upgrades / enhancements and on occasions new development.
What we are looking for:
6. Experience as a Project Manager or similar Mid-level role,
7. Strong understanding of Project Works and delivery within the healthcare sector, including the challenges and regulations specific to hospitals,
8. Proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines,
9. PFI Contract experience is highly desirable,
10. Stakeholder and Client Management experience,
11. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels,
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset,
