Operating Department Practitioners or Anaesthetic Nurses (UHD theatres – primary base Poole Hospital)
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Trained Anaesthetic Practitioner with a UK Anaesthetic qualification and experience to join our expanding theatre department, delivering a 24‑hour service. You will work across multiple specialities, supporting the safe delivery of care and engaging with the Trust’s transformation and strategic vision.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing anaesthetic support across all relevant operating theatres at Poole Hospital and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
* Working shift‑flexibly, 24/7/365, to meet clinical demand.
* Collaborating with multi‑professional colleagues to deliver high‑quality surgical care.
* Participating in service transformation and development initiatives.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Current UK Registration and UK Anaesthetic qualification.
* Training as an Anaesthetic Practitioner.
* Experience working in a UK operating theatre environment.
Additional information:
* Primary base: Poole Hospital with cross‑site working required.
* Services covered include Orthopaedics and Trauma, Head and Neck, Obstetrics, General, Gynaecology, Day Surgery, Urology, Vascular, Paediatrics, Anaesthetics, Emergency and Recovery.
* When a role or service relocates, excess mileage will not be reimbursed; travel from home will be considered a normal commute.
