As a Legal Advisor in Competition & Regulatory Affairs, you'll provide legal support focusing on competition and regulatory law matters in the UK and other jurisdictions where BT Group operates. Your role involves offering solution-focused legal advice, partnering with the Regulatory Affairs team, and engaging with regulatory authorities like Ofcom.
Report to a Senior/Principal Lawyer while serving as a trusted advisor to the Legal Director.
Provide expert legal advice on EU & UK Competition & Regulatory law.
Handle various legal issues including advisory and contentious matters, market studies, M&A, regulatory consultations, and compliance activities.
Independently advise on low-medium complexity matters and support litigation when necessary.
Advise business colleagues on litigation and dispute risks and provide training and education on legal matters.
Contribute to best practice documents and ensure seamless collaboration within the Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.
Proactively identify risks, seek solutions, and influence stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
Demonstrate leadership qualities by embodying BT's values and seeking continuous improvement.
I demonstrate strong commercial focus, bringing an external perspective to decision-making.
I experiment and identify opportunities for growth for both myself and the organisation.
