We are looking for a Full Time Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team in Enfield. As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of the day-to-day warehouse operations at the site, ensuring the operation is running smoothly, and supporting the Site Operations Managers with a variety of tasks that add value to the operation.
You will also ensure all productivity, accuracy, and cost targets are met and exceeded, as well as manage and coordinate warehouse operations at the distribution centre.

Role details:
Salary: Up to £43,100 per annum (Including London Weighting)
Hours: 38 hours per week
Working pattern: Any 4 from 7 | 05:30 - 15:30
Location: Gist Limited, Brancroft Way, Enfield, EN3 7QP
What you’ll do:
8. Own the recruitment and induction process within the warehouse department of new colleagues
9. Conduct Daily administration tasks in relation to payroll systems, payroll queries holidays etc
10. Drive shift performance to achieve KPIs
11. Forward planning of operation and delivery of plan in line with live volumes and resource
12. Ensure all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented in the warehouse or escalate
13. Maintaining a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agency and subcontractors
14. Manage direct reports in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:
15. Wellbeing meetings, long term sick management, return to work and disciplinaries
16. Shift briefings when required
17. Collaborate with 3rd party agencies to ensure appropriate resourcing of operation
18. Day to day reviews of plans and system maintenance in line with live volumes
19. Ensuring training and development needs are identified and reviewed frequently
20. Planning and organising operational, people and safety meetings
21. Accident investigations and reporting
22. Conduct hazard walks and observations
23. Maintain and improve performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI's
Who you are:
24. Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of a warehouse function within the FMCG Distribution Industry
25. A passion for encouraging teamwork, focusing on creating an innovative culture where all employees can voice their suggestions and ideas
26. Excellent team management skill for developing Team Leaders
27. An analytical mind-set
28. Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns in the future
29. You'll come in contact with Trade Unions (previous experience with this would be beneficial)
