Position
Personal Assistant for a 14‑year‑old boy with autism, living in the Penzance area.
Responsibilities
* Accompany the young person to social activities and support development of independent living skills.
* Assist with daily living tasks and help build independence.
* Provide support during school holidays and after school.
Requirements
* Own transport and business class motor insurance.
* Reimbursement at £0.45 per mile when travelling with the young person in the vehicle.
* Availability: 5 hours per week, including some weekends, school holidays, and after school.
Compensation & Hours
Pay: £13.45 per hour.
Hours: 5 hours per week, with some weekends, school holidays and after school.
Employment Conditions
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and will not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS check, which will be administered by Cornwall Council.
