We are looking for a Senior Garage Supervisor to play a key role in leading daily garage operations, supporting our drivers, and ensuring exceptional standards of safety and performance. The Role
As a Senior Garage Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the garage, ensuring drivers are supported, services operate efficiently, and company standards are met. You'll work closely with colleagues, manage operational demands, and help create a positive working environment where people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Driver Management: Allocate drivers to duties, ensure regulatory compliance, manage absences, and adapt to changes in scheduling.
* Operational Oversight: Oversee daily garage operations, manage rest days, and maintain accurate staff records.
* Health & Safety: Support a safe workplace through proactive management of incidents, testing, and follow-up actions.
* Training & Induction: Coordinate driver CPC training and lead induction programmes for new starters.
* Performance Support: Ensure compliance with driving quality standards, while supporting staff with attendance and performance.
* Public Interaction: Handle enquiries and lost property requests with professionalism.
* Proven experience in a supervisory, team leader, or senior admin role (transport sector experience is helpful but not essential).
* Excellent organisation and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to support and motivate diverse teams.
* Confidence with IT systems and data management.
* Flexibility and resilience to handle changing requirements.
* Salary: £43,575.
