Zeit für Brot is a fully organically certified and artisanal bakery, baking on site and around the clock and preparing delicious breakfasts, lunch and dinner products using our own breads. Our first bakery in the UK is Islington features a production kitchen in which we will be working from early morning to evening to prepare a range of premnium quality hot and cold dishes. Quality and sustainability at the heart of what we do and who we are and we wish to hire a team of kitchen assistants with ambition and under leadership of our head chef to produce a wonderful guest experience.
HISTORY :
Founded in 2009, we have set ourselves the goal of not only reviving the traditional bread culture, but also being innovative and employing advanced technology whenever this helps the quality of our products and processes. In opening in 2025 in the UK we are now setting ourselves a new goal as the first German bakery to open its doors in central London and to offer a 24/7 baking service combined with wonderful products to snack on from our kitchen team.

SUMMARY
As Kitchen Assistant you will have dual responsibility - in terms of cleaning/washig up and in terms of good production.
You will maintain a clean and tidy pot wash area and ensure that you comply with COSSH and food hygiene regulations.
You will understand the importance of ensuring all equipment within the kitchen is cleaned and maintained to the standards required and cleaning schedules are adhered to at all times.
Under the leadership and daily training of our head chef you will also be actively involved into the preparation of our freshly produced organic products and this role has much potential for growth over time - it depends on you
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
* Primary cooking of ingredients to create sauces, cooked meats and vegetables
* Assembly and baking of pastries, sandwiches and pies
* Washing up utensils and equipment to ensure service runs smoothly
* Ensure customers tables are cleared and cleaned regularly throughout the day.
* Compliance with our recipes and quality standards
* Carrying out cleaning tasks in the kitchen
* Compliance with company hygiene measures and legal regulations
YOU BRING THIS WITH YOU
* A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work
* The ability to stand for long hours
* Willingness to adhere to health and safety rules
* Good organizational skills
* The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment
* Patience and cool-headedness
* A high school degree or equivalent is a plus but not necessary
* Basic command of the English language
* Reliable, hard working and have the ability to work in a fast-paced workplace
* Ability to multitask
* Flexibility with working hours
