Due to steady and continued growth, our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in the heart of Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions across a variety of sectors. They are a small-to-medium independent consultancy that prides itself on delivering high-end services that consistently exceed client expectations. The team works across a range of sectors throughout the UK, providing multi-disciplinary building services design with a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Take a leading role in delivering mechanical design solutions for a range of projects across multiple sectors. Oversee and mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical development and growth. Produce and review design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules. Work closely with the wider MEP team, attending client meetings, conducting site surveys, and ensuring project progress aligns with expectations. Lead technical discussions and collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery. Essential Skills & Experience Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services. Proven experience in mechanical building services design with a solid understanding of UK regulations and industry standards. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, sustainability principles, and energy-efficient design. Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and relevant industry software. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a collaborative team environment. Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
