On behalf of our client, an estalished Affiliate company, we are seeking an experienced Head of Content to lead our content strategy for the UK market. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the UK sports betting landscape and a strong track record within the affiliate or sportsbook space.
In this role, you will drive the vision for one of our top-performing sports betting affiliate portals, leveraging regional insights to shape content strategy, boost performance, and maintain a competitive edge. You will also lead a team of skilled content professionals, ensuring alignment, accountability, and continued growth across the team.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a predictive, data-driven content strategy tailored to the UK market.
* Lead and mentor a team of writers and editors to consistently deliver high-impact content.
* Track and analyse regional betting trends and user behaviour to inform content priorities.
* Provide regular updates and actionable insights on key events, seasonal trends, and opportunities.
* Conduct competitive gap analyses to ensure leadership in rankings, traffic, and conversion.
* Collaborate with SEO, Product, and Quality teams to align content with overall business objectives.
* Elevate content quality through strategic planning, execution, and rigorous editorial standards.
* Oversee content governance, including lifecycle management, internal linking, update cycles, change logs, and content audits.
Requirements:
* Native English speaker with in-depth knowledge of UK betting markets and user behaviours.
* Proven success in a senior content role within a sports betting affiliate or sportsbook environment.
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing content teams of 5 or more.
* Strong grasp of localization practices and regional bettor psychology.
* Proficient in keyword and market analysis tools such as Ahrefs, SISTRIX, and Google Search Console.
* Ability to translate data into actionable content ideas and deliver them with urgency and precision.
