An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Charge Nurse based at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
As a Senior Charge Nurse in the Combined Assessment Unit, you should be an RN (Adult) motivated and enthusiastic to join a new team in delivering exemplary patient care. You must have a genuine interest in Acute Medicine/Surgery/Urology and be dedicated to patient-centered care. You should have evidence of continued professional development, along with all standard mandatory and statutory training up to date. The CAU team will offer you a career-long supported learning program based on a robust Competency Framework.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required to do the job:
* You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
* Experience relevant to the demands of a nurse-driven area where some care is defined through clinical care pathways—adult medicine.
* You must have evidence of working successfully at a senior level within the specialty.
* You will have a highly developed expanded role involving clinical assessment skills, planning of patient care, and expanded clinical skills such as venipuncture, cannulation, performing and interpreting ECGs, and administration of IV antibiotics.
