Overview
2026 Land & Water Resource Technician – Chippewa County, WI. Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Lake Wissota Stewardship Project role within the Department of Land Conservation & Forest Management. This position is seasonal, non-recurring, and limited term, requiring up to 40 hours per week during a 5-month period (January – May 2026 OR June – November 2026) for a commitment of 975 hours. Focus includes information and education outreach, and collaboration with the Lake Wissota Improvement and Protection Association and watershed landowners. This position can be filled by a student or a recent graduate.

Minimum Qualifications
* High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
* Must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources with an emphasis in Physical Earth Science, Water Resource Management, or another related field.
* Experience with ArcPro or similar software preferred.
* Knowledge of informational and educational outreach in an agricultural setting preferred.
* Valid driver’s license required.

Wage: $22.47 per hour. This is a non-benefited position.
