A well-established charity based on the outskirts of Bath is seeking a temporary Finance Assistant for an approximate four-month period.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Maintain the purchase ledger: processing invoices, checking supporting documentation, coding costs, and managing supplier queries.
2. Prepare weekly payment runs and ensure timely, accurate payments.
3. Assist with ie processing.
4. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, petty cash, and other balance sheet accounts.
5. Possibly support month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, journals, and reconciliations.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, reconciliations, journals).
7. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
9. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise deadlines.
10. Excellentmunication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
