Role Overview
We’re looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover the North of England. You’ll be responsible for managing and developing existing accounts, generating new business opportunities, and driving sales growth across your region. This role is ideal for someone with a technical sales background who’s confident building relationships on the shop floor as well as at board level, and who is hungry to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow sales across the Northern territory.
* Build strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of service and support.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the food and pharmaceutical sectors.
* Assist on product demonstrations, training, and technical advice to customers.
* Work closely with the internal sales and service teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity in the region.
* Report regularly on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline activity.
Skills & Experience
* Proven track record in technical/industrial sales, ideally within food manufacturing, inspection, or processing equipment.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently.
* Good technical understanding with the ability to explain complex equipment clearly.
* Full UK driving licence (regular travel required).
