Salary\: £40,748 dependant on experience What you’ll be doing\: Produce technical guidance documentation for In-Service Submarine Alterations and Additions, Class Modifications, and Minor Trials, ensuring adherence to all aspects of the MOD design change process KP 2.31 Carry out investigation and review of technical design change information/proposals and feedback findings to both internal and external stakeholders Carry out design change Safety & Environmental Assessment documentation review for both In-Service and Build community Submarines Provide input to training courses to support learning from experience, drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety and quality culture Conduct trend analysis of incidents, events and present the findings from completed investigations to identify themes and trends Your skills and experiences\: Essential: Computer Aided Design experience A background in Mechanical/Electrical engineering A minimum of HNC qualification Desirable: Experienced in CAD – Preferably SolidWorks Experience working within the Submarine sector Defence related design experience Benefits\: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. You will be working autonomously and as part of a team, to help with making changes to the benefit of not only the whole department but overall Submarine programme. During your projects, you will also have the opportunity to visit In-Service Submarines in support of design change tasks and to develop your own skill set and experience.
