The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support our Pontypridd office with its commercial and operational needs.
We are looking for someone with experience in freight account management who can start making an impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source and manage a personal portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring you deliver a tailored and personable service that builds customer loyalty
* Ensure repeat business by working closely with the operations team to ensure all jobs run efficiently and correctly.
* Drive GP growth by identifying new customer opportunities across multiple product lanes and securing ongoing shipments.
* Providing and following up quotes directly with customers.
* Building close relationships with new and existing suppliers.
* You will play a pivotal role in ensuring we have clear profit margins on all accounts and jobs, maximising these wherever possible.

What you'll bring:
* Previous experience of working in road, air or sea freight is essential
* Previous account management experience building own client portfolio
* Good understanding of transport and Worldwide logistics
* Outstanding communication and customer service skills
* The ability to develop and build strong and personable relationships over the phone and in person with a broad range of individuals
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player
* Accountability to yourself and others
* Extremely organised with a high attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work well under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines
* Strong competency with Microsoft excel
* High IT literacy skills
