The main goal of the First Team Assistant Performance and Recruitment Analyst is to support the Head of Analysis in delivering elite-level analysis of team and player performance for Charlton Athletic Women.
Duties and responsibilities:
Matchday analysis:
•Set up and provide live analysis at selected home and away fixtures.
Performance analysis:
•Provide in-depth video and statistical analysis for training sessions and matches.
Opposition scouting:
•Profile upcoming opponents and create detailed dossiers for the coaching staff.
Player recruitment:
•Aid in the recruitment process through video analysis and player reporting.
Data management:
•Maintain player and team performance databases.
Technology:
Research and implement new technologies to improve the analysis provision.
Presentation:
•Present compelling video and data content to players and coaches.
Skills required:
•High proficiency with industry-specific software (e.g., Hudl, Catapult) and data sets (e.g., Statsbomb).
Knowledge required:
•Significant experience working within a professional football environment, ideally within elite women's football.
•Ability to align and adapt processes to the current coaching staff's philosophies.
Qualifications required:
•A degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, or a related field is desirable.
Personal Competencies
•Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel with the team.
•Personal attributes: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
•Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
