Duties
As a Butcher, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and cut meat products for sale or consumption. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all meat products are handled and prepared according to food safety standards. Your duties will include:
* Cutting, trimming, and preparing various cuts of meat (Beef, Poultry, Lamb and Turkey)
* Weighing, packaging, and labelling meat products
* Ensuring proper storage and handling of meat products
* Assisting customers with their meat selection and providing recommendations
* Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the butcher area
* Adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines
* Prepare Delivery and Wholesale orders
* Assist customers with their order
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience as a Butcher or in a similar role is preferred
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
* Familiarity with meat cuts and different cooking methods
* Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
* Strong communication and customer service skills
Hour Week (Saturday Off)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00 per hour
