Looking to take the next step in your veterinary career? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team in beautiful County Durham.
The Role
This is a general practice (GP) role suited to a confident vet who enjoys a varied caseload and excellent clinical support. Whether you’re a vet with specific interests (such as surgery, ophthalmology, or dentistry) or someone looking to develop new skills, you’ll be welcomed into a collaborative environment that encourages growth. This role could be made as a consulting only role, if preferred!
Rota: 1 in 6 weekends
No OOH – dedicated emergency team in place
Flexible working hours available
Salary: £40,000 – £65,000
About the Practice
You’ll be joining a well-equipped small animal hospital with an impressive range of in-house facilities including:
 * Digital X-ray and ultrasound
 * Endoscopy (upper and lower GI)
 * Rigid female canine cystoscope and bronchoscope
 * Laparoscopic equipment
 * On-site laboratory
 * CT scanner
 * Hydrotherapy unit
 * Accommodation available to support if relocating
The team includes experienced vets (including certificate holders in surgery and medicine), supported by a skilled nursing and client care team. You’ll be part of a practice that prioritises patient care, teamwork, and professional development.
