We are seeking a talented and driven Procurement Category Manager to take ownership of a key global category and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering its strategy.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment where your expertise in supplier management, category strategy, and commercial negotiations will directly impact business performance.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a global category, working closely with senior leadership, operations, and other global teams to develop, implement, and improve the category strategy. The position involves end-to-end supplier management, from sourcing decisions and contract negotiations to performance monitoring and risk mitigation.
* Develop, implement, and refine the global category strategy in line with organisational goals.
* Lead supplier evaluations, direct supplier strategy, and negotiate high-value contracts.
* Manage supplier performance through KPIs, review processes, and improvement plans.
* Support NPD projects for timely and cost-effective launches.
* Identify and deliver cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and supply continuity.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimise supplier relationships and manufacturing processes.
* Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and standards.
About You
We seek a proactive procurement professional with:
* 5+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing.
* Proven ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and deliver results.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship skills.
* Experience working across complex structures and collaborating across functions.
The Offer
* £45,000 - £55,000 plus benefits, DOE.
