Job Title: Production Manager

Salary Band: Management Manufacturing (£37,500 – £47,500)
Job Overview
A dynamic and experienced Production Manager is required to lead manufacturing operations within our organisation.
The successful candidate will ensure efficient production processes, uphold high-quality standards, and drive continuous improvement throughout the operation. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, proven people-management experience, and a solid background in lean manufacturing principles.
This position is essential for delivering products on time and within budget while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control
Plan, coordinate, and oversee manufacturing processes to meet production targets.
Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to optimise output and minimise downtime.
Team Leadership
Lead, manage, and develop production staff, including supervisors and operators.
Foster a positive and productive work environment through coaching and performance management.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies and apply lean manufacturing principles.
Lead initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance workplace safety.
Inventory & Materials Management
Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely material availability.
Monitor stock levels and support inventory control processes.
Reporting & Analysis
Track KPIs and prepare regular production performance reports.
Use data insights to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
Good working knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Winman).
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in a manufacturing production management role.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools.
Knowledge of ISO standards.
Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
Degree, equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment with team leadership responsibility
