THE TEAM
This is a great opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join the Planning Team based at our Head Office in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.
This is an exciting and fast-moving time at JSM and we are looking for a candidate with a solid knowledge of CAD, who is adaptable with high levels of initiative and a keen eye for detail and process. Your key tasks will be to provide a CAD service relating to utilities construction street works projects.
SCOPE OF ROLE
You will be an integral part of the Planning Team working with the Planning Manager and Operational Project Managers to help produce all drawings and diagrams, pre-construction, construction and post construction.
Also, you will assist in compiling other necessary documents for successful project handover to client.
HOW YOU`LL SUCCEED
• Ensuring all drawings and diagrams are delivered on time and to client specs
• Producing red-line drawings
• Produce as-built drawings
• Production of trail trench/ hole drawings
• Production of traffic management drawings
• Production of multi-utility diversion works design drawings
• Undertaking as built surveys and recording points with handheld digital GPS recording devices.
• Interpreting data from GPS web portal to create client as built drawings.
WHAT IT TAKES
• Previous experience as a CAD Technician undertaking design and detailing on CAD Drawings.
• Able to demonstrate good organisational and time management skills
• Able to work alone but also as a team
• PC literate: fully conversant with standard Microsoft software to intermediate level
• Confident use of mobile apps for iOS and Android
• Ability to prioritise own work load
• Experience in the use of AutoCad in order to produce technical drawings
• Willingness to travel within the UK mainland
People Management:
• The appropriate candidate must be assertive and confident when liaising with Project Managers and staff
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum C&G Level 2 Certificate in 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD)
