Scientist 1 FTC – R&D Analytical Scientist (1-Year Fixed-Term Contract)

Position Summary
Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Catalent Pharma Solutions is expanding, and we’re excited to invite a talented R&D Analytical Scientist to join our dynamic Analytical Team at our Swindon facility.
As an Analytical Scientist, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of our Analytical Development group. You’ll contribute to project execution, method development, and laboratory activities—all within a cGXP‑compliant environment. Your work will directly support product innovation, process validation, and global product delivery.
The Role
* Perform analytical testing with a focus on cleaning validation, as well as support for process development, stability and clinical batch release, and method validation.
* Operate and maintain a wide range of laboratory equipment with confidence.
* Participate in research into new technologies and analytical techniques.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Analytical Development team.
* Apply root cause analysis and statistical tools to support investigations.
* Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment, including housekeeping and safety audits.
* Ensure all work aligns with regulatory and cGXP standards.
The Candidate
* Degree (or higher) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
* Hands‑on experience in a cGXP laboratory environment.
* Working knowledge of HPLC and other analytical instrumentation.
