Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive? A School in Chelmsford is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their specialist SEMH provision from August 2025.
In this full-time, permanent role, you'll provide tailored support to children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to access learning and manage the challenges they face in school.
You'll work as part of a close-knit, supportive team of teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff, making a meaningful impact every day. Whether you're experienced or new to SEMH, if you bring patience, resilience, and a willingness to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of differentiated learning activities
* Provide in-class and out-of-class support to pupils with SEMH needs
* Help pupils manage their behaviour and develop positive relationships
* Foster emotional wellbeing, self-esteem and confidence
* Track progress and contribute to learning and care plans
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider SEMH team
* Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience
* Understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour management strategies desirable
* Previous experience supporting children/young people desirable
* A calm, resilient and adaptable approach
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning
* Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
* Enhanced DBS required
