Full-Time PE Teacher – Chichester, West Sussex

GSL Education is proud to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Chichester, starting in September 2025. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary between £30,000 and £50,000, depending on experience, in an enriching environment where your impact will be felt both inside and outside the classroom.
This progressive and supportive school welcomes applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a school tour—an excellent opportunity to experience the setting firsthand before proceeding to a formal interview. Interviews are scheduled to take place over the coming weeks.
Responsibilities of the PE Teacher:
* Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Encourage participation and enthusiasm for physical activity and healthy living.
* Organise and lead extracurricular sporting events, clubs, and inter-school competitions.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Collaborate with staff to support students’ well-being and academic progress.
Requirements for the PE Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience in teaching Physical Education is essential.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
* The ability to inspire and motivate students in PE.
* A commitment to promoting a love for physical fitness and sports.
* Relevant qualifications or training in physical education (desirable).
* Updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willingness to apply).
