This role
We are recruiting for a Commercial Assistant to support the Quantity Surveyors with reviewing all applications for payments, valuations, and costs associated with repairs, voids, and disrepair works for Metworks. You will also provide cost reports to relevant teams, attend operational or contractor meetings, and assist in developing new ways of delivering the commercial approach to future contract performance and spending to support the contract partnership.
What you'll need to succeed
* Track record in providing Commercial or financial support, including invoice payments and query management
* Ability to manage own workload and gather information from various sources to meet deadlines
* Understanding of NHF and other bespoke schedule of rate-based contracts is desirable
* Good planning, budgeting, organizing, and prioritization skills; experience of maintaining sound business records
* Ability to prepare reports, track and manage contractor accounts and queries, maintain records, and monitor budget expenditure
* Ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
* Ability to interpret financial and other system data
* Good working knowledge of Excel
