As they continue to grow and strengthen their provision, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Fabrication and Welding to join the Bersham Road campus.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated individual to deliver high‑quality teaching across Fabrication and Welding programmes at Levels 2 and 3. You will bring energy and enthusiasm to the learning environment, support learners from a variety of backgrounds, and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering engaging teaching sessions and preparing relevant learning materials
Marking and assessing student work
Providing guidance, feedback and pastoral support to learners
Liaising with awarding bodies and supporting exam processes
Working collaboratively with tutors across curriculum areas
Maintaining accurate documentation such as registers, schemes of work, course reviews and student reports
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant Fabrication and Welding discipline
A teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one
Strong understanding and application of mathematical concepts
Up‑to‑date knowledge of developments within your specialist area
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently to deadlines
Good IT skills, ideally including Microsoft Office and Google applications
Awareness of quality standards within teaching
Welsh language skills (desirable)
