As a Cleaner, you will contribute to delivering high standards of hygiene and infection control, supporting the comfort, dignity, and wellbeing of those who live in our care. If you take pride in your work and want to be part of a supportive and friendly team, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean and sanitise all areas of the care home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, offices, and corridors
* Follow cleaning schedules and procedures in line with health and safety and infection control guidelines
* Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and appropriately
* Dispose of waste, including clinical waste, in accordance with regulations
* Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and cleaning materials
* Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages to the appropriate staff
* Ensure all cleaning records and documentation are completed accurately
* Adhere to infection prevention and control policies at all times
* Work respectfully and sensitively in a care environment, maintaining residents’ dignity and privacy
* Support deep cleaning tasks as required

* Excellent hourly rates of pay, with annual uplifts, with clear pay bands.
* Extra hourly rates paid for weekend nights with £0.50 Fri / £0.75 Sat / £1.00 Sun.
* Extra hourly rates paid for Bank Cover with £0.50 M-F /£0.75 Sat/ £1.00 Sun
* Extra Monies paid for Bank Holidays
* Paid Annual Leave with 28 days Pro-Rata Leave

Skills and Experience
* Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently
* Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
* Ability to work in a care environment with vulnerable individuals
* Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare or care home setting
* Knowledge of infection control procedures
* COSHH awareness (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
Candidate Must Have
* Right to live and work in the UK
* 2 x Positive References
* Enhanced DBS Check.
* A full UK driving licence would be an advantage but not essential
