Java Developer - 6-Month Contract | Liverpool | Inside IR35 Your new roleWe're looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a collaborative team on a 6-month contract, working on a range of backend services. This role offers a hybrid working model, with 2-3 days per week on-site in Liverpool, and is inside IR35 (via umbrella company). ?? Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain scalable Java backend services using Spring Boot and Spring Framework
* Build and test RESTful APIs using Postman and Swagger
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines
* Manage cookies and session handling effectively
* Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit
* Work with POJOs and mock data for testing and development
* Integrate front-end components using Thymeleaf and JSON
What you'll need to succeed??? Essential Skills:
* Java (Core and Advanced)
* Government Digital Service standard
* Spring Boot & Spring Framework
* jQuery
* Thymeleaf
* RESTful API development and testing (Postman, Swagger)
* CI/CD pipelines and DevOps collaboration
* Cookies/session management
* Unit testing with JUnit
* Handling POJOs and mock data
? Desirable:
* Exposure to modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
